Clarins Autumn Makeup Collection: Graphic Expression

Autumn-Make-Up-730x692

Clarins launched their new makeup collection this week, with plenty of time for us to prepare for the autumn/winter season which is fast approaching. A comfortable balance of intense colour, taupe hues and satin finishes, the emphasis is all on the eyes for the upcoming season…

The product which initially caught our eye was the gorgeous Limited Edition Face & Blush Powder. The embossed lines and mix of shades create a radiant glow, while the gold shimmer creates definition to the skins surface. This can be used as a setting powder all over the face, while the subtle pink hue can be used by itself on the cheeks for a natural flush.

Next up are the new Jolie Rouge Lipstick shades. There are three shades all together; Pink Camellia (not shown), Royal Plum (top) and Spicy Cinchona (bottom). The formula is long-lasting, and with the help of mango butter is nourishing and hydrating, which means your lips won’t dry out. The colour is really build-able, giving an intense hue to the lips.

The new Crayon Khol Long-Lasting Eye Pencil comes in eight shades, which will suit any makeup look for every occasion. The crayon itself is very soft, giving a great colour payoff, and is easily blend-able and versatile.  We especially love Smokey Plum, which gives a subtle hint of colour to the eye.

Alice Carroll

I'm Alice, Al or, if you are the five year old me, Ice (yes, I did want to be a member of Kris Kross, and yes, I did wear my jeans backwards). Womenswear Editor at House of Fraser Online, I've grown out of backwards clothes and instead chose to invest my money in vintage sportswear and bomber jackets, while inking my body with unnecessary tattoos and rapping along to every word of The Streets - Original Pirate Material. My proudest moments were seeing a shoot I styled in my favourite magazine and getting a three-dart-finish in a game of darts. Oh, and Bart Simpson was my first crush.
