So we know that we’re meant to exercise, eat well, not frown, drink water, avoid alcohol and eat carbs but not after 6pm…

But sometimes all the ‘rules’ get a bit too much to bear. Yes we want to be healthy, yes we want to look our most beautiful, and yes we know there isn’t some miracle potion to turn us in Claudia Schiffer, but sometimes a little helping hand is all we need.

Well, thankfully there are some products, that may not be a cure for all ailments but they come pretty close, taming our jiggly bits and plumping up those pesky dimples.

1. Fat girl scrub, £26.00, Bliss
One of the best ways to banish those lumps and bumps is by improving the circulation to the area. Use a strong scrub like this one from Bliss which contains Himalayan pink salt and massage into your cellulite prone areas 1-2 times a week. This will not only improve the skin tone, but it will help break up the fat deposits and get the circulation moving. Afterwards, follow with a firming cream or gel.

2. Hydroform firming body cream, £32.00, Darphin
Use this cream once or twice a day for best results. Massage it in thoroughly, again this will aid circulation. This particular body cream is luscious and rich, it melts into the skin making it super soft and smooth. The cream firms the skin and is great at helping to banish stretch marks, your skin instantly feels plumped up, like it’s had a well deserved drink.

3. Parliament firming hand cream, £15, Nails Inc.
Your hands give away a lot, and they are the one part of you that you can’t hide or touch up. So take care of them. This anti-aging cream for hands is a wonderful invention. It will keep your hands looking soft and youthful no matter what your age.

4. Bust beauty extra lift gel, £36.50, Clarins
This is great for firming up the décolletage and helping to keep it lifted. The gel is also incredibly moisturising so will leave you skin lovely and smooth. This is particularly good as a preventative measure, and will help ensure that your chest stays exactly where it should.

5. No complex stomach & waist lotion, £28.87, Givenchy
If your stomach is your troubling bit, then this is superb lotion. A little goes a long way and although it can’t dissolve the fat, it can improve circulation and create a much firmer feel.
