Last week saw the launch of Givenchy La Make up week, showcasing their new make up collection inspired by this season’s catwalk shows, just in time for Christmas.

I headed down to be pampered like a star and I definitely felt like one! From the personalised mini facial and make up tutorial to the complimentary cupcakes and champagne, every aspect was taken care of and I couldn’t wait to see my new look.

I was welcomed by Sidrah who was fantastic at taking me through each step of the process.

I started off with a mini cleanse before she applied the Acti’mine make up base.  A skin primer product underneath your make up is key in ensuring your base lasts all day and keeps your skin looking radiant, even when the temperature drops. There are a few shades to choose from so finding your perfect one will depend on whether you want to combat redness, counteract a sallow complexion or prevent oily build up.

One great trick I also learnt from Sidrah was how to layer perfume.  This is perfect for Winter as it really helps to make your fragrance last as well as making it seem like it is actually embedded into your skin rather than sitting on top of it.  The way to do this is to spray your perfume onto our skin, I chose the new Very Irresistible Intense fragrance (if it’s good enough for Liv!),  then saturate your skin with the matching moisturiser, then spray one last spray, et voila, you will notice a difference instantly to how your usual perfume smells and although it may seem like a lot of fragrance, it’s wonderfully subtle and will last all day.
