The Importance of the Eyebrow

untitled2

One thing which is always underrated when it comes to the big world of beauty is the eyebrow. Ever since Cara Delevingne burst onto the scene a few years ago, eyebrows have become more and more popular, which means there is a greater demand for the perfect brow kit.

But why should we spend so much time and effort on our brows? Eyebrows, whatever the shape, frame our eyes and are one of the central points of our face. An unruly brow can ruin the perfect makeup look, which means however long you spend on your makeup, you can’t neglect those brows. This doesn’t mean you have to take it to the extreme and colour them in with a thick brow pen! A simple comb through and touch up is all it needs, depending on how defined you wish your brows to be.

New to the scene is the Dior Diorshow Brow Styler, which adapts to match almost every hair colour. This can be used in multiple ways; it can create light, subtle hair-like lines, or can be built up to create a more defined eyebrow. It’s a really easy-to-use product, and is perfect for popping in your makeup bag to use on the go.

The Clarins Pro Palette Eyebrow Kit is for the die-hard eyebrow fans out there. This kit features three shades which span all hair tones, a clear gel for keeping everything in place and a highlighter for the brow bone. The brushes which are included will keep you covered too; the spooly (mascara) brush, which will keep unruly hairs in place and a dual-ended eyeshadow / slanted brush. The mini pair of tweezers will get rid of any unwanted little hairs too! This kit not only looks gorgeous, but does the job amazingly well too.

Alice Carroll

I'm Alice, Al or, if you are the five year old me, Ice (yes, I did want to be a member of Kris Kross, and yes, I did wear my jeans backwards). Womenswear Editor at House of Fraser Online, I've grown out of backwards clothes and instead chose to invest my money in vintage sportswear and bomber jackets, while inking my body with unnecessary tattoos and rapping along to every word of The Streets - Original Pirate Material. My proudest moments were seeing a shoot I styled in my favourite magazine and getting a three-dart-finish in a game of darts. Oh, and Bart Simpson was my first crush.
