Tried & Tested: Benefit Push-Up Liner

You’ve heard about it, you’ve seen it, but are you convinced? The ‘criminally easy’ liner has landed and it’s pretty clear that our HoF testers are huge fans, so will you be converted?

Heather Perry – Online Category Executive

“Amazing! I wear liquid eyeliner every day and spend time with cotton wool buds trying to perfect the flick look. This eyeliner has decreased my makeup time as it much easier to use; a pen like design with a thicker gel liner means no drips or spills!

“The liner itself stays on all day with no smudges! Although, you do need a good eye makeup remover to get it off but it is worth it as you are not reapplying all day.

“I occasionally wear false eyelashes and found this is great to use with them. Usually when I put on lashes, my eyes can start to water – a disaster when wearing liquid eyeliner as the black tears start to ruin the rest of my make up! This has been my false eye lash saviour, my eyes can water and no black tears, or even smudges appear. This is definitely a new staple in my makeup bag!”

Bianca Matley – Online Editorial Assistant

“I’m a brown eyeliner wearer through and through as I always find black khol liners smudge and drop, especially on a night out, but I converted to the gel pot when they came out as I love a defined eye.

“When this came out I was so eager to try it and it really didn’t disappoint. It takes a little bit of getting used to but after a couple of tries I felt like I’d nailed it. The silicone flexi-tip made the pen easy to run along the lashline and gave an almost flawless flick. Like any liner, it takes a steady hand but after continued, it takes no time at all.

“The only difficulty is removing it – although this is great for all day and night wear, you need a really good remover for it to budge! That said, I’m never turning back with this.”

My name's Bianca, Menswear Editor. Contrary to belief, I love Eastenders but wasn't named after the character... heyday of hoops and ponytail quickly erased from memory. Times have changed (thankfully) and although I love beauty, I equally love a good men's oxford shirt and jacket or two, for myself of course. You'll now find me flicking through men's magazine pages and my favourites list is increasingly becoming male dominated. Dare I say, there's a lot to learn from their style...
