We test out Urban Decay’s The Vault: Exclusive to HoF

Calling all Urban Decay fans! The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Vault is here and itai??i??s exclusive to House of Fraser. With 40 full-size pencils in a huge array of shades, this is the perfect present to yourself this Christmas.

the vault
The Vault includes the whole range of shades from Urban Decayai??i??s current 24/7 line-up with four exclusive colours -Twice Baked, Mars, Ultraviolet and Tornado. With so many choices, there`s something for everyone. Crazy-vivid brights, shimmering metallic, wear-anywhere neutrals and dark, smoky hues.

I met with Urban Decayai??i??s National Makeup Artist, Caron Keane, to test the looks.

Look 1: The Nude Look

  • Apply Scorch on your eye lid, smudging the edges lightly.
  • Use Goldmine and dab into the corners of your eye lid.
  • Smoke it out with Hustle on the outer lid.
  • Fill in your brown with Demolition using an angled brush, applying on your hand beforehand.

Look 2: UD Iconic Eye

  • Apply Perversion Eye Liner on top for a winged effect.
  • With the shade Vice, shadow over the top cover of your eye.
  • Dab Asphyxia shade in the corner of your eye.

Look 3: Spotlighting

  • Set to be a big trend for 2016, spotlight your eyes.
  • Place Cuff through the centre of your eye and Asphxia at the bottom. Youai??i??ll notice how it contours your eyes and makes them glimmer.

I love that these pencils are creamy and waterproof. They glide on smoothly and dry quickly for a long-lasting finish. This is so much more practical than powder and the colour is so vibrant. The amount of times Iai??i??ve had to re-apply my foundation because of falling powder is ridiculous! This is an eye-makeup saviour for Party Season. Even better, it contains jojobar oil, vitamin E and cottonseed oil which is great for my sensitive eyes. Grab it while you can.

I’m Lauren, Online Editorial Assistant for Beauty & Kidswear at HoF. By night I’m an ice skater, so I’ve been training a few times a week for the last 15 years. As you can guess this meant I grew up around a lot of hairspray and glitter, hence my love for all things beauty (Urban Decay and M.A.C are my saviours!). The rest of my time is either spent devouring feta, beetroot and quinoa salads, watching The Millionaire Matchmaker or getting broody over super cute kids’ clothes.
