Fashionchick Share Their LFW Highlights

FashionChick Profile picWow! As another LFW closes on us, the Fashionchick office is a buzz with the past five days of fashion fun!

In yearly tradition, our capital became inundated with fashion followers, models, bloggers and celebrities as we all came together to watch the biggest names in designer fashion churn out their latest and greatest collections for Spring/Summer 2014. And the host of judging eyes was far from disappointed. From Manolo Blahnik‘s LFW debut to Sophia Webster‘s meticulously designed step into a bug’s life, LFW13 is sure to leave a lasting mark in the minds of the fashion crowd.

Favourites in the Fashionchick office included Tom Ford‘s step away from the typical Spring pastel shades with his simple and sophisticated brown, black and white leather dominant collection. His lace up ankle boots are the perfect shoe for those wanting a punk edge to their summer wardrobe and there is no doubt we’ll be seeing them in all forms down the high street. Moschino also offered us a helping of pure summer with fun, young and bright pieces in yellows, pinks and greens, proving that colour can be chic.

Of course, we have to mention Burberry Prorsum. As with every season, the collection showcase was a star studded affair. Harry Styles, Sienna Miller and Alexa Chung were among the hundreds of famous faces watching fashion muse of the moment Cara Delevingne strut her way down the runway in an array of pastel trench coats and sheer skirts. Musically, the tone of Burberry’s Spring/Summer collection was set – relaxed, calm and controlled. Sophistication objectified by the pastel-hued class that unveiled before us in a flurry of falling petals.

With A/W 13 in full swing, it’s great to dream of summers ahead and I look forward to getting into the full offering in-store at House of Fraser and online with Fashionchick!

Hi I'm Kate, in a previous life I was Womenswear Editor but these days you are more likely to find me pouring over a planning calendar than the latest copy of Elle in my role as Online Content Producer. A Northern tourist in London, some of my favourite things in life include red wine, chutney (accompanied by cheese), sequins, grey cashmere and Matt Damon. I am known in the HoF office for owning far too many coats for one person, laughing too loud, and drinking full fat Coke only when hungover. My life's ambition is a simple one; to own a Puggle.
