The colour red has a rich history and ever-evolving connotations. It signifies passion, love, courage, wealth, luck and joy (as well as anger, sacrifice and danger). And it’s at this moment in the year that red is particularly on our radar, following on from events such as Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day. With this in mind, our thoughts are turning to red dresses: the perfect statement piece in any lady in (ahem) red’s wardrobe.
