Skincare that will fake a good night's sleep

Beauty sleep is no myth. Not only does getting eight hours of shut-eye give your cells a chance to repair themselves, your skin also absorbs higher levels of nutrients while your body is resting. With this in mind, here’s our edit of the products you can use in your nighttime routine to wake up fresh-faced and glowing.

Serums
A serum is the first product that should be applied after cleansing. The ingredients are potent with smaller molecules, which means they're more easily and deeply absorbed by your skin. This makes them perfect for tackling specific problems such as wrinkles or dark spots.

Eye Creams
Like serums, eye creams are potent and should be applied before other products so they can absorb easily. Always use your ring finger to gently pat the cream into your skin, this will also help to awaken and de-puff the delicate eye area. For lifting, plumping and cooling try Estée Lauder’s eye cream range.

Moisturisers
Next up, apply a moisturiser to help seal your serum into the skin. It'll also work to improve your skin’s moisture levels (essential for both oily and dry skin types) and strengthen its natural protective barrier.

Masks
If your skin is crying out for some extra attention, apply an overnight mask before bed. Suffering with dryness? Go for something ultra moisturising like La Mer's Intensive Treatment.
