Organise your home in 2013

Let’s be honest, we probably won’t stick to our rather optimistic resolutions… come February, those of us currently ‘eating less and exercising more’ will have forgotten all about the tasteless rabbit food and push ups.

So instead, set yourself an achievable goal and start with a simple (re)organisation of yourself and your home.

From tidying your kitchen cupboards to streamlining your busy schedule, follow our tips to de-clutter your life in 2013…

A Living Room to Relax In

Say goodbye to the chaos in your living room and try to avoid leaving books, magazines, toys or DVD’s (mostly without their boxes) lying on the floor and hide all your bits and bobs in baskets or handy footstools with hidden storage.

A Kitchen without Clutter

Finding space even in a roomy kitchen can be tricky…. between the stacks of pans, dishes and numerous spices, finding exactly what you’re looking for can turn into a treasure hunt. This year, ditch the clutter and store your favourite spices in glass jars or opt for clever kitchen accessories that can adapt to awkward spaces.

A Tidy Bedroom

If a warm duvet is not enough to keep you toasty at night, you probably own a couple of soft throws or underblankets. The problem is, where do you store these winter warmers when Spring comes around? Choose a bed with storage – an easy way to hide voluminous items. And if you tend to lose jewellery, carefully store these in a small drawer that can take pride of place on your dressing table.

Be Organised

It’s just impossible to remember all your important appointments off the top of your head, so organize your busy schedule in a pretty diary. Simply place in your bag, so you can keep track when you’re on the go…
