Believe it or not but this rather sci-fi looking hoop is in fact a rather sci-fi fan. Yes forget blades the next generation of fans is… well… a big hoop. We are always pro something that looks chic and has a purpose so we’re pretty excited about the Air Multiplier from Dyson. It has taken four years to create, with a 350 person team of engineers and scientists. It works by drawing the air in and then amplifying it fifteen times. That means you don’t get that horrid buffeting which blade fans cause, so you get a nice constant stream of cool air loveliness. It’s also safer than blade fans, as well as being much easier to clean. So let’s run through this again: Does it look good? Yes. Is it very clever? Yes. Will it keep me cool in these soaring temperatures? Yes. Time for a purchase?
