Summer wardrobe musts
Ok boys it’s time to sort out your summer look. I know, we’ve only just been talking about spring style and now we’re trying to get you beach ready. But you can’t deny that the temperature is slowly (very slowly) rising and that summer holidays and ice creams are on everyone’s minds. We think for a hot summer look you just need to invest in the following pieces and you’ll look stylish and season savvy. First up a straw trilby is a must, we particularly like the neutral shade band of this Failsworth one.
The tropical tee

Of course graphic tees are everywhere, when are they not? But we’ve come over all tropical in our quest for sunshine. Palm tree prints have a real 80s Miami beach vibe which we are just loving at the moment. Team with denim cut offs for laidback cool.
The checked shorts

It’s likely you already own a pair of denim shorts, perhaps a pair of cargos, but this summer it’s time for the checked short to reign supreme. It’s a combination of geek chic with lashing of preppy, easy to wear and just add a tee or polo shirt for a fun and fashion forward look.

Like girls can’t resist shoes, guys can’t resist polo shirts, it doesn’t matter how many you have it’s just never enough. The latest styles of polo shirt have a distinct 60s mod style that creates a smarter and more fashionable line. Pair with black jeans for a high fashion look, or chinos for a smarter take on the polo.
The plimsolls

Remember the horror of sport’s day? Well thankfully plimsolls have come a long way since the trauma of school gym classes. Plimsolls have grown up into chic, cool and very easy to wear shoes. You can team a pair of plimsolls with pretty much anything, and you’re sure to earn compliments.

The checked shirt, has gone geek this summer with short sleeved lengths, dedicated fashion followers are doing their top buttons up and in some cases pairing with either a bow tie or skinny tie. If that scares you a little don’t worry, because the short sleeved check can still be worn open with a retro tee underneath.
The 80s aviator

That’s right the 80s are back, we’d rather you didn’t start wearing shell suits again, but rather just work 80s style in a pair of aviator sunnies. Choose from retro coloured frames or oversized lenses, buy now and wear all season.
