Painterly ambition: Ronaldo sits pretty

Love them or hate them, footballers and their outlandish fashion choices never fail to get us talking.

It seems only a blink of an eye since Beckham shimmied into the limelight with his sarong, now Ronaldo’s raising eyebrows with painted black toenails. So what’s the verdict? Is he harbouring some illicit desire to turn goth? Is he covering some nasty fungal infection caused by those sweaty footie boots? Or has he (in my opinion) simply lost a bet with his girlfriend, Irina?
