There is only five months to go until the big day and I’m starting to wobble about my dress. Is it too big? Is it too small? Should it be whiter than white as oppose to cream? A decision this big makes me second guess myself constantly. I’ve also decided that darker hair looks better with my dress so I have begun desperately trying to reverse the twenty three years worth of bleached blonde highlights. Let’s just say it’s taking more than a few trips to the hairdressers.
However, aside from the dress and hair problems, I did go shopping with my bridesmaid to look at dresses for her and therefore finally pick a colour scheme. Hooray! I fell in love with the new Lori Lee dresses from Coast and loved the sophisticated silver colour. Unfortunately the pale hue washed her out slightly so she tried the navy which just looked absolutely stunning. Colour scheme chosen!

On to the next dilemma…matching the bridesmaid dress to the groom’s choice of suit. Navy can be a bit tricky with certain shades of grey so I was very relieved to hear that Howard will be wearing a light grey suit which will compliment the beautiful navy colour perfectly.
So bridesmaid dress number one done. My Bridesmaid’s daughter, who will just be one-year old at the wedding, will be fulfilling the role of flower girl and will be wearing a cream dress to match mine but with a sash in navy to match her Mum. We just need to find the dress now…
We also ticked another thing of the list and went to look at cars at the weekend. Much to my delight are having a 1975 Rolls Royce Phantom, which is the same car Kate Middleton had when she married Wills….so I can pretend to be even more of a princess on the big day!
