Daily Gossip: Karl Lagerfeld, Jedward in Grazia & the secret to grey hair

It’s to cold to go outside, so stay in and gossip…
Karl Lagerfeld gives SpongeBob a makeover
No we haven’t gone cuckoo, the iconic designer behind Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld has made over SpongeBob SquarePants. It was of course in the name of charity, and was part of a Paris fundraiser for WWF and the figurine went for €1,000. SpongeBob was created in the image of Lagerfeld with his trademark sunglasses, stiff collar, black tie and fingerless gloves, he was also a rather flash gold rather than his usual bright shade of yellow. Other celebrities autographed other SpongBob memorabilia and €7,000 was raised for WWF. Is SpongeBob a new style icon? [WWD]
Jedward in Grazia
Have you seen today’s Grazia? If you haven’t then you really really need to. In a super slick, well styled shoot, Jedward (yes those annoying twins off the X Factor) have been given the fashion treatment. The pointy hair has gone and been replaced with Teddy Boy quiffs and slick suits. Tipped to be the next Ant & Dec the boys look set to be hanging around in the public eye for some time to come. And if Grazia could make sure they style them wherever they go, that’d be fine by us! [Daily Mail]
You can’t fight the grey
If you thought getting grey hairs was triggered by stress then think again. Researchers have found that it’s genetics which dictate when you will go grey. In a study of 200 twins in Denmark, it was found that identical siblings turned grey at almost the same time. Non identical twins however, lost their hair colour at different times. This means that the environment and stress is unlikely to greatly effect when you go grey. Well, that’s one less thing to worry about. [Marie Claire]
