Fashion in 3-D
What’s more exciting than a fashion show? A 3D fashion show of course. Burberry is planning to stream the London Fashion Week show in… yes that’s right…3D. Fashion fans in Paris, LA, Tokyo and Dubai can watch the Autumn/Winter 2010 catwalk wearing 3D glasses. Is this the beginning of interactive fashion shows? Catwalks in your lounge? How exciting! Hopefully those hideous 3D glasses will get a Burberry makeover beforehand… I’m afraid they just don’t go with our outfits darrhling. [ElleUK]
Donatella Versace dishes the catfight goss
We don’t like to gossip…but… according to Donatella Versace Linda Evangelista and Kristen McMenamy have a distinctly volatile relationship. Which led to a catfight over their roots. Talking to Love magazine, Donatella explained that both models turned up with their hair dyed blonde with black roots. They then got angry claiming that each of them was the first to sport the trend. The models’ colourists were summoned as witnesses, and Donatella had to pass judgement on who was the first to do the black root look. These supermodels, what are they like? But if anyone asks, we were the first to wear our hair in a top-knot… you hear? We were! We have evidence… Donatella! [Grazia Daily]
Step away from the stiletto
We all know the dangers of high heels, don’t we? They make you look incredibly sexy? No? Ok, we know that they can cause bunions, and that they hurt our knees, but now there are new fears over those sky high lovelies. Doctors are warning that high heels may cause harm not only to the back but also the brain. It’s thought that because heels distort the back and thus compress the spinal nerves that this in turn can constrict blood vessels and nerve supplies to the brain, causing headaches and effecting brain function. Thankfully clogs and kitten heels are the look of Spring/Summer 2010. [Marie Claire]
