Daily Gossip: Cheryl Cole, Percentages of attraction, Gucci film

We just can’t stop talking about…
Cheryl Cole to break the US:
It’s not possible to move at the moment without seeing her, hearing her, watching her or just bumping into lookalikes of her. Cheryl Cole is quite literally everywhere, and she’s about to make it Stateside.
To help her in the jump across the pond, none other than Jay-Z is rumoured to be mentoring her. The rapper has just signed the Sugababes to his label and is working with Brit singer Mr Hudson. The States is notoriously hard to crack, will she manage it? Watch this space. [Marie Claire]
Show 40% of flesh to attract a man
We’ve all had that “is it too low cut? Is it too short?” or “is it frumpy? Do I look like someone’s mum?” debate when picking an outfit to go out in. But scientists have now found that the key to attracting a man and not looking like a frump or overtly sexy, lies in percentages. Psychologist Dr Colin Hendrie of Leeds University studied nightclubbers, they looked at how many times women were approached by men and what they were wearing. They found that women showing 40% flesh attracted the most men, more than 40% was deemed to indicate future infidelity. Those showing only 30% were approached by fewer men. Not so surprisingly the most attractive 40%s were wearing very tight clothes. If you’re wondering how you get to 40%, then each arm is 10%, each leg is 15% and the torso is 50%. Good luck with the maths girls! [Daily Mail]
Gucci film confirmed
With rumours rife, conflicts emerging, the Gucci film concept looked over before it had begun. But Ridley Scott has confirmed that after ‘Robin Hood’ he will start work on a film about the Gucci family. The film should be released early 2011, it focuses on Patrizzia Regianni who was convicted of arranging the killing of her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci. The Gucci family are reportedly up in arms about the film, and see it as an intrusion of privacy. But it still looks set to go ahead, Ridley Scott told WWD that they have a script. He also stated that a cast hasn’t been determined despite whisperings that Angelina Jolie and Leonardo DiCaprio will be the stars. Summing up the film Scott said “It’s the history of the family and how it evolved.” Forget Devil Wears Prada, this will be the ultimate fashion flick. [WWD]
