Oh J Brand how we love thee, first you create jeans to make us look super skinny and now you have created the ultimate ‘It’ jean which isn’t even a jean… how do you do it?!
The celebs are actually going crazy for these cargo inspired bad boys… Jessica Alba (pictured), Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, Khloe Kardashian, Cindy Crawford, Hilary Duff, Ciara, Rachel Bilson… you get the idea. The Houlihan jean from J Brand is without doubt the hottest item to own.
So what’s all the fuss about I hear you cry? The reasoning is three fold, one they look really great and are super flattering, two the olive tone is so on trend and goes with everything, and three they’re ultra soft and stretchy making them really comfortable.
The houlihan jean has ankle zips at the bottom to give you a really snug skinny style, and the soft twill fabric is really wearable. Coming in a variety of colours the olive is a great transitional shade and plays to that whole cargo vibe. Oh yes, if you hadn’t noticed theses are in fact cargo pants… with cargo pockets… but because of the slim fit you’re left looking less scary spice and more sexy stylista.
To really work these jeans pair with towering wedges or platform heels and a loose fitting top (and a biker jacket come autumn). These also look great casually with sandals or pumps and a plain vest.
J Brand Houlihan’s have just arrived online in olive, and we are expecting a washed black to arrive next month. But girls you better act quick, these jeans are hot property and won’t be around for long (especially if we’ve got anything to do with it!).

Hello, was wondering if you have any information about the j brand houlihan twill cargo pant and if it stretches/ does it run true to size? Do you need to size up or down? Thanks !

Thanks for asking, we’re still very much Houlihan-fans. I have just consulted our denim buyer and she advises going one size down as the fabric is a stretch twill and does stretch, hope this helps!
