On the 6th March we revealed that the Queen of Shops herself would be opening four new stores around the country… and we are delighted to announce that our new Mary Portas stores are now officially open.
House of Fraser Westfield London, House of Fraser Guildford, House of Fraser Manchester and House of Fraser Glasgow have all been given the Pret-A-Portas treatment, offering chic clothing, must-have accessories and stylish homeware to women across the UK.
“To all those women who have travelled the length and breadth of the country to come and experience my store in London I wanted to say thank you. From spring this year, it’s my turn to come to you, with a new fashion collection for spring and summer that I’m proud of, and you will love.”
Mary
So what are you waiting for? Head down to one of Mary’s shiny new stores and see why women across the country are falling for the style savior’s collection and have a sneak peek at all of the action from some of the openings…

I think it’s time for an Australian venture, Ms Portas. You truly are an inspiration. Most ppl would balk at those figures you have to reach in the program! So I really admire you and hope like crazy you reach those targets so we can see you here…don’t forget its winter in some countries…perhaps a section for international folk on the online store? Even last winter’s product available for us would be super duper. I know that is a lot of work though but surely worth your while? Keep up the GREAT work! You really are amazing.

I have a bust no waist and no hips size 18 5′ 10″” broad shoulders and quite skinny legs!
What shape am I? I purchase slot of “waterfall” style jackets and tops. Long tunics with leggings and short ankle high heeled boots. I’m 60+ am I on the right track? Unfortunately I live in Perth Western Australia! Not easy to call in on one of Mary’s stores!! I am so jealous with all you lucky women in UK! We need help here in the colonies too!

Hi Joan,
A London Wedding sounds quite glamorous so I would suggest a beautiful printed piece from Mary Portas. How about the Pleat Front Dress? It’s fashion forward yet elegant and really flattering. Team it with a bright shoe like the Mary Portas & Clarkes ‘La Marrianne’ in coral (these are not just gorgeous but truly comfortable too) to really make it pop. Hope that helps?!

Hey Linda ( Le Gros) check out Mary’s body shape finder first, which will help you know what part of her collection to try. ( i’m a tambourine shape, UK 16 ) If you can’t get to a store then order by HOF online, very efficient service keep & enjoy or & just simply return the item via post if it’s not suitable. This is what I do. I love Mary’s collection, especially the sale! Then I can buy more x

Dear Mary and Team,
I am a 52 – 5ft 2inch (short) Redhead, born and bred in Cardiff, I was so excited when I watched the TV series (both of them) and so disappointed when I found out that there was no Mary Portas in or around Wales so I looked online, but I haven’t a
clue what shape I am. Furthermore looking today at the website the model used
appears YOUNG,TALL + SKINNY – not at tall middle aged with sagging boobs +
short legs and plenty tummy!
What to do now?
Yours truly (fed up)
Linda Le Gros.

here’s a story. As part of treatment for severe anxiety, I had to spend as much time as possible on the !st floor of House of Fraser to work on overcoming the feeling of fear and wanting to leave. As a result, I found myself immersed in Mary’s fabulous collection which, of course, I’d never seen except on TV. For so long I have looked for a collection which addresses middle aged women who dont want to look middle aged but need good cutting and great style to make the most of themselves and still have an edge and flair I was so impressed with what I found that I managed to spend a whole hour in the store and left with two pieces, a vow to return and a huge sense of achievement in overcoming one stage in my quest to beat this very real problem. Thank you for that and some fabulous new clothes. I will be back!

Love the new Mary shop in Manchester! I bought a stunning red shirt which looks fab (I think!) with the tight pair of legging type leather trousers I bought when I came down to the Oxford Street store when it opened. So really pleased that one is opened in Manchester now! Love the manifesto on the wall too, absolutely beautifully painted.

I bought a red dress before
christmas to wear for a Nov. wedding and have worn it since to 90th bday party and various other times. It always gets compliments I really love it.
Will visit Oxford street store again soon, it is still the nearest to me, how about opening in Leeds, Sheffield, Hull or Lincoln?
Keep up the good work Mary I can’t wait to get some kinky knickers!

If you haven’t visited Mary Portas yet – you must …… It’s the most amazing shopping experience.
I visited the Oxford Street store for the 2nd time on Saturday, styled by the wonderful Mark -
I came away with 2 dresses and a shirt – I love them. Mary has her finger on the pulse for women of a certain age and real size. If only I could win the lottery – I’d buy the whole collection ! Saint Mary the patron saint of curvy women !
