Puffa: Celebrating 40 Years

Did you know that Puffa is a brand so synonymous with British culture that it’s in the Oxford English Dictionary? Well now you do.

For over 40 years, Puffa have been producing clothing worn by everyone from royals to supermodels, athletes to musicians. With the unique combination of lightweight warmth, classic style and durability, Puffa jackets have become a favourite for all the family.

Created by Penny Rogers in 1973, the iconic Puffa jacket first came to life after Penny was inspired by the quilted jackets she has seen whilst exploring Canada and the US. Spotting a gap in the UK market, Penny set to work designing a small collection of jackets for her family made initially from eiderdown quilts.

Over the years Puffa has become a leader of quilted clothing ever since combining quality and innovation to create stylish and warm ranges for the city and countryside. There have also been exclusive collaborations with fellow iconic British fashion brand Harris Tweed.

Kate O'Brien

Hi I'm Kate, in a previous life I was Womenswear Editor but these days you are more likely to find me pouring over a planning calendar than the latest copy of Elle in my role as Online Content Producer. A Northern tourist in London, some of my favourite things in life include red wine, chutney (accompanied by cheese), sequins, grey cashmere and Matt Damon. I am known in the HoF office for owning far too many coats for one person, laughing too loud, and drinking full fat Coke only when hungover. My life's ambition is a simple one; to own a Puggle.
