Street Style: May

With the weather perking up (come back sun!), we at House of Fraser thought it was about time to get out on the, slightly damp, streets of lovely London and do some style spots…

Colour Pops and Prints

Prints were paired with pops of colour to make a statement. Don’t be scared to be experimental with colour. With summer just around the corner, it would be rude not to!

The typically English weather means that we have to be prepared for rain (likely) or shine (less likey). Layering is a good way to do this. Layer textures, colours and prints to keep things stylish – hey, you can still look good even when it’s raining.

Summer Trends

Double denim is back. Make sure you’re looking chic instead of cowboy couture by pairing different denim fades. Colour, colour, colour is a key summer season trend. To avoid looking like a bag of Skittles, stick to a few key colours and match your shoes with your jacket. Go dotty for dots. The print of the season, understated is the way to go to really make the dots stand out.

What summer style will you be wearing?

Alice Carroll

I'm Alice, Al or, if you are the five year old me, Ice (yes, I did want to be a member of Kris Kross, and yes, I did wear my jeans backwards). Womenswear Editor at House of Fraser Online, I've grown out of backwards clothes and instead chose to invest my money in vintage sportswear and bomber jackets, while inking my body with unnecessary tattoos and rapping along to every word of The Streets - Original Pirate Material. My proudest moments were seeing a shoot I styled in my favourite magazine and getting a three-dart-finish in a game of darts. Oh, and Bart Simpson was my first crush.
