Everything you need to know about sports bras


 

Whether you're working out, hanging out or kicking back, the most important thing is feeling like your best self, so however you're wearing your sports bra, make sure it's one that makes you feel good.

Picking the right sports bra can sometimes feel tricky and wearing the wrong style or size can seriously sabotage your fitness routine. So it's essential to be equipped with the right kind of support, to achieve your best work out, and really feel like you.

Low impact
Activities like yoga or Pilates require equally dynamic, unrestrictive gear to allow freedom of movement. Try sports bras in soft, breathable fabrics, which allow stretch and movement, and opt for either spaghetti straps, that will move with you, or thick, adjustable straps which you can adapt depending on the type of yoga you're doing. Comfort is key here. 

Medium impact
Medium support bras are great for activities like weight training or body weight training where movements are slow and controlled but not high impact. You'll still need a bra that provides enough support when you're taking on those big weights, but still leaves enough room so you don't feel constricted. 

High impact
For high-intensity workouts, get your bra wrong and we’re talking pain, soreness and aches. Make sure your bra can hold its own when you know you’ll be doing a lot of running or plyometrics and make sure you get properly fitted.
